Location: Over by those oil wells, TX | This is just crazy... of course it was too good to be true but my daughter wanted to check it out to see what the "deal" would actually be.... the "ring" sent lots of amazing photos too and I can't post them here from the office but she has 20 or so! Notice the huge difference in the language... it started out perfect and in following email it get's pretty obviously non-American.
Read from the BOTTOM post up as that's how the conversation line went. ----Forwarded message---- From: my daughter To: samantha. Sent: Wed, Dec 4, 2013 9:56 AM PST Subject: Re: Horsetrailer Sorry Samantha I would need more info to make a deal. Id like to read the payment companys privacy policy and terms and conditions before I gave anyone my mailing address or billing information. That is just common practice. If they dont have a person or contract I can refer to FIRST then they might as well not exist. Good luck and best wishes, (my daughter) ------------------------------ On Wed, Dec 4, 2013 9:45 AM PST Samantha wrote: >It's your decision and I will respect it. First off all I hope you receive all my emails with all the transaction details and my situation and also the trailer pictures. You will be in contact with our Logistic Department in the moment when the shipping process will be started because they must be in contact with you until the trailer will arrive to your location. They can't call you now because it's a Marine Base and they can't make public this. But yes you can ask at the Vehicle Online Payments to call you to confirm the deal sure. Their email address it's vehicle-online-payments-department.com . But you must send me your full name and full address and they will open a case ID for our transaction. Also about the title and all the documents they have this document and you receive and register them in your name. I will wait your reply and if you will agree we will put the things in move. > > Thank you, > > From: my daughter> >To: samantha. >Sent: Wednesday, December 4, 2013 5:05 PM >Subject: Re: Horsetrailer > > >I understand, do you have any pictures of the title? I rodeo a bit and need something that my new daughter can be comfortable in at the rodeos now thats its getting colder....it would fit us perfectly. Id have to put a gooseneck ball hitch in my trailer so I have cash but would need about $800 to have ball installed. | Are there still people falling for this stuff? There must be or they'd stop trying. Kudos to your daughter for playing it smart. |

| Thanks for sharing! We get many more of these every day. Fortunately, we catch them before they make it to the public. And the public is getting smarter. But sadly enough, they keep posting stupid ads like this . . . because occassionally, they work. |

Location: Over by those oil wells, TX | You're welcome! Very happy to post this for others to see how these people change their approach and only wish there was a way - there might be some very young - just making their way in the adult world - who would see this and fall for it - which is very sad. |

Location: Texas | Why do they always use the line that they are in the military? It just ticks me off that they pick on the military personnel. |

Location: Over by those oil wells, TX | I'm sure it's because they know how loyal we are, and how emotionally connected we are since everyone knows "someone" or has family in the military. It makes me mad too! |

Location: North Dakota | These people are getting smarter. When I was looking for a trailer I saw one advertised as being located in the town I live in. They had no number naturally so after a few emails they started making excuses to why we couldn't come see it. They removed the advertisement and listed it as being in another state. People do still fall for this kind of thing! |

| Because they know that we know someone in active military is not free to show what ever item they are currently scamming. |

Location: Never in one place long | That is one sick person!!! Yep people do it... our CC was just charged today by some company so we had to cancel it and get a new one... my friend had someone steal her identity and had to pay 10,000 to get it all worked out... sad world, you have to be SOO careful. Shame on them for using the military to try and get money! |
