The performances used to be 3 hours recorded on the DVR, but this year it is 4 hours. Have they added 1 hour more of commercials?

Since GAC took over the broadcast, everything is shown. Whatever the schedule says is how long the broadcast will be. I think it goes from 9-12:30 central or maybe 9-12, but I can't remember what my guide said. There is a 30 minute show called Inside the NFR that airs right before the rodeo. It is 8:30-9:00 central. They have been replaying the round right after they do the "live" round.

I understand, just didn't know why it goes 1 hour longer than the last few years (I've dvr'd it for several years and always plan on 30 hours of taping). This year seems to be when it has gone longer, not when it started on GAC. I just don't know if the extra time is for commercials or air time of actual event/commentary. Just curious, not critical.

I certainly feel like they've had TONS of commercials.  I also know they a have been posting results on FB and they are about a whole event ahead in Las Vegas. last night I believe I was watching the bareback horses and FB posted results for steer wrestling and possibly team roping before it ever got close to happening on TV.  Plus after every commercial, the announcers were like, "Well you didn't miss anything, all rides, etc are here on GAC."

I've been watching it and it hasn't gone 4 hours...only 3 hours at least that way on Dish Network & on cable that I've seen. When ESPN did the broadcast it was 2 1/2 hours not showing every single thing. The ESPN replays would usually be only 2 hours which showed even less.

You aren't missing any of the events. They are delayed live for the commercials and special features they have. It may start to air a bit after it actually starts out there too, but it hasn't gone longer than 3 hours.

It seems to me they just keep running the same 5-6 commercials over and over.  Starting to drive me nuts.

I also remember a few years ago when it was on ESPN2 they had Viagra commercials they kept repeating.   That was awkward watching with your kids..

NFR 2013, so far, for all 3 rounds of the "actual" Rodeo performance, on the internet radio, it starts promptly at 10 pm ET, and it ends just before midnight ET.  - (That's only 2 hours. It's non-stop on the internet radio, with one, very brief, "commercial").   --

More commercials is adding for longer run.

But I for one will hit the mute button when the commercials come on, and continue to thank GAC for bring us all of the NFR while I am nice and warm in our home with a Bloody Mary in my hand that didn't cost me 10 bucks.

That's hilarious.  The one commercial that is irritating me to death is the pizza commercial. I have to mute it!!! Lol I'm loving how GAC is showing everything!!!!
