Looking at trying a Lisa Lockhart Flex2 Wide saddle for my horse Red.
My current Circle Y saddle fits him "okay" but I think I could do better. That saddle fits my 2-year-old decently so I would probably keep it for him.
I've never sat in a treeless or flex tree saddle before. Does anyone find that they have a problem hopping back and forth between two different saddles like that?
Mostly I'm just nervous to try a flex tree because it is completely new territory to me. But I've heard such great things about that Lisa Lockhart saddle.

I've never tried one of Lisa's saddles but I did have a Liz Pinkston Double J flex tree saddle for a while. I felt no difference at all from a solid tree saddle.

I have the Lisa Lockhart flex 2 wide fit. Mine is the early one, still in great shape, doesn't work on flat backed horses as it rubs their back where the stirrups hang.
I spoke to the maker/designer of this saddle yesterday and he said they have fixed the problem, and they can fix mine if I were to send it back.
Do I really notice a difference in a regular tree and the flex tree, not really, some horses are more free in their shoulders with the Lockhart, the saddle is lighter. All in all I do like the saddle, it is nice quality, the leather finish is still on mine, everything is still tight.
