Here is a poem for you all I thought you would enjoy. It is by M.J. Deacon, and I found it in a pamphlet I got at our finals rodeo one year and just happened to remember it. So hope you enjoy!

City Girl

My city girl ways
Were challenged the day
I married a cowboy by choice

Unaware of the game
That I was the dame
Who stood second place to his horse

The challenges I found
As I toiled new ground
Were something I had not expected.

But a wife who stands
Between horse and man
I assure you will soon be rejected.

So believe it or not
When put on the spot
This woman learned to love horses.

Since then you can bet
Glad to have met
The cowboy who changed all my courses.

Merry Christmas!
