She does have a saddle sponser so she switched to their saddles. Vortex Saddlery released a Fallon Taylor signature saddle collection. http://vortexsaddlery.com/ |

Shes been running in the vortex saddle for months and has been trying out different trees and makes for about 6 months.....so no switch just before finals. |

I didn't think it was that long because she posted a video on youtube maybe a couple months ago of her riding in the Brazilian saddle. |

Thank you! He's a sweetie! Lucky for him I recognized his symptoms pretty quick and changed his diet. I have another mare with PSSM as well, but it took me years to diagnose her. I asked my hubby if I could just quit work and ride horses all day, but he told me "NO!" |

Brazilians are lighter than Vortexs and I guess she feels they fit Babyflo a little better. She will probably bring the Vortex back a little later in the season. She switches back and forth. |

I'm not saying I like her,but since when is it a crime to switch saddles? Just because Vortex sponsers her doesn't mean she has to use their saddles 24/7. |

Really? The list price on the website is a little under $3000, I would hope for that money it would be a really well made saddle. |

I should have taken a picture of it, I have to go back this week and switch in a saddle and I will get some. It was gross, the leather felt weird, i cant even explain it. I talked to the store owner and he said he has not been able to sell one people try them on demos and bring them right back. |

These are the mini videos she is posting, I think they are kind of neat, but you can see shes in the brazillian saddle. it looks so werid to me, but obviously fits her style. |

Location: South Dakota | I am enjoying her video blogs...I like her enthusiasm and positive vibe..maybe it is all about marketing, but I think there are things that can be learned from her..she also mentioned that her balls to the walls type of running did not serve them that well at Vegas, and she is focused on getting Baby Flo working a little more correctly...the runs I have seen on the blogs, have all been real nice....and yes that Brazilian saddle does look a little strange, but it seems to work for them. |

How much do they weigh?
I saw an Abetta that Connie Combs sells and it weighs 17 lbs. I would think that it would have a decent tree if she promotes it. Needing a light colt saddle for the group we will be breaking this fall. |

They weigh any where from 12-14 lbs. Here's the website http://braziliansaddle.com/ |

I am sorry as a sponsor and as my husband is a trainer sponsored by Twisted X in the past - that is EXACTLY what she should be doing.
A sponsor is a company paying her to promote their product. If someone they are paying cannot even do that I would be beyond furious. I can tell you now, Twisted X would not have sponsored my hubby for four years if he wore Ariat's everyday. If she prefers the other saddle she should never have switched just for the almightly dollar. This is the type of thing that leaves a sour taste in the mouth of sponsors and does the Vortex Company no good at all. |

No kidding, I was suprised to see how expensive the Brazilian saddles are! Connies is just a bit over $500.
The rigging is pretty cool on the Brazillian sadles though. |
