Location: Texas | Long story short... My cousin is 17. They first found her leukemia when she was 9. She has been in remission twice. 3 months ago they found out it was back again, this time way worse then the 2 times before. She has been in a medically induced coma the past week. Her kidneys are failing and her blood count is very very low. They tried to bring her out of it today and she was unresponsive. After some testing they found bleeding on her brain, she is too sick for surgery and they gave her 48 hours to live.
We will be heading out in the morning, so I won't be able to get on here much until we get to Bastrop... but I am asking for prayers for my family. Especially for her dad and her little brother. I also ask that you pray for her in her final days. I know BHW has prayed for a lot of people, my family is not taking it well at all and half of them are basket cases and will be traveling a long distance in the morning.
Thank you.

| Leukemia is an awful, awful, thing. We lost my beautiful aunt Cindy 10 years ago to it. My prayers go out to your family and my heart breaks for you. I always try to think that God just needed Cindy more than we did, it's hard to believe it because He called her Home when my sweet little cousin Kayla was just 3 years old, but the big man upstairs knows better than we do. Be careful on the road, and pray for a miracle, they happen everyday! |

It is horrible, and I think a lot of people in my family have gotten complacent (for lack of a better word) because she has come through this the last 2 times fairly easily. I think it blindsided a lot of them.
We are praying for a miracle, but I feel like I am the only one that is also praying for her if she goes. If that makes sense. |
