Can't remember where I found all the measurements but I do know that Northside in Ft. Worth is two feet bigger so pretty darn close. If you live close enough go run there :) I do know that several of the NFR girls ran there for weeks in a row and were running 14.3 and .4s with good runs. The ground is pretty trashy and deep at Northside so that's the difference. I talked to Shada and Jane the weekend before the NFR about all of this.

I found this from WPRA office of the 2012 pattern size.
You ask for it! Here are the measurements from the pattern in 2012 at the Thomas & Mack Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
60'4 between 1st and 2nd
70' between 2nd and 3rd
18' off the side fence
42'8 off entrance wall
Wonder if they have different sizes from year to year?

How could it vary year to year and have an arena record?

BINGO! You win the prize for the best question!

I've always wondered this too. Unless the pattern is staked and those stakes used every single time/event/year, whatever, there is no way to say for sure what the record for ANY arena is. Plus factor in the difference in the ground.

A year later and I want to know the answer to that question.  If the pattern differs from year to year (and it does) how can there be an arena record??

Yes, I saw that too from the WPRA website....but it was slightly different in 2012. I guess I thought it would have to be exactly the same since there are arena records.

Well that makes me feel pretty darn good!  My horse has run there twice with a 14.5 each time.

Hey! That's the pic that I added on our Facebook page, "A New Standard in Barrel Racing"! Be sure to go check it out if you haven't already... There are additional patterns listed that will fit almost any venue! It's great to see our stuff making the rounds! I just hope it says where it came from!
