My husband buys all his knives from Knives of Alaska. He loves them and we send them back every year to get resurfaced and sharpened, only $10 plus $10 shipping. It's really helped keep them from rusting and some of his knives he's had going on 6 years now with no breaks.

Great knives. Not just attractive.... great blades.
I just had two Damscus steel knives made for Christmas. Hugh Ragsdale at Texascowboyconnection.com did them for me. I wanted something that looked old and he did a fantastic job. The design I got was a castration knife with a ring handle he had just designed. They are a horizontal lay. The handles will be engraved this week.
Helms Custom Knives on Facebook. I have ordered four from him and they are amazing. I doubt you can get one by Christmas, because he stays pretty booked. I try to order months ahead of time. They are super nice people and really cool knives. (You could always ask about Christmas...)
