| So i'm thinking of starting a business but first of course know if there is a demand and if I can make any profit... so here is my first example of gun grips i will do... What do ya think? Would you purchase one? How much would you pay?

I don't know anything about guns, don't hunt, don't like to shoot guns, but that makes me want THAT gun.

Location: Kansas | I'm going to be honest......coming from a hunters perspective (woman hunter).........I wouldn't buy them.
Not saying anything bad about your idea, because it's honestly a super cute idea......but the only people who I would see as buying them, and women who buy guns just to look at them or shoot in a range.

I have to agree. I think they are nice looking to the eye but being on the area that is your point of contact I don't know how I feel about the rough crystals or the durability with handling . If I were to do the bling I would go with the duracote glitter they have as it is solid and won't change your grip .
If anything I would factor out the cost of supplies and come up with an amount you think you can profit based on other similair quality "fashion" grips and see how they sell. |

| Thanks for you all for your perspective! I wasn't sure how ppl would think about them but i'm mainly thinking about doing handguns and those are never used for hunting, (atleast around here) just for practice and protection. I too am a woman hunter but for handguns i thought the bling would be cute!
I have set the rhinestones into the grip so you barely even feel them against your palm. i plan on shooting it alot before listing any to be sure they will not affect the grip

Location: Michigan | The only gun I have right now is a 20 gauge shotgun (a Mossberg 500) with pink stock. I am a big sucker for any pink/feminine hunting/shooting supplies- and I have no shame about it. Some guys tease me about it, but more often than not when I am at the range with my pink gun, pink case, pink headphones, pink arrows, pink release- guys will come up to me to ask where I got it and if I like it because they have a wife/daughter/girlfriend that has been looking for something just like it. I don't have a handgun but I defintely will be getting a girly one when I do! I like your idea. I take donations.

Location: California | I say go for it. There is a market out there for everything somewhere. I think here there will be a large majority of the outdoorsmen / hunting type but if they are marketed to a large diversity of people I'm sure you would find the right avenue . I see these ridiculous blinged out Hello Kitty grips on handguns on Instagram all the time so if people buy that, I'm sure there is a market for a blinged out one minus the weird cartoon character.
I hope it didn't come across that I didn't like the idea! I think they are cute. Just not for me personally . I have handguns for personal protection in my home and they don't leave my home. My concern with that would be the bling and reflection of light on the crystal if I had to reach for it in the dark with an armed intrudor. Had a friend shot in the hand years ago after a home invasion when she reached for a firearm so I am extra paranoid about that now .

Location: PNW | I personally would not buy them, but I know a lot of people that would.
My first thought would be that the texture of the stones would hurt your hands if you got into shooting a larger pistol. My husband has aftermarket grips on his .45 1911 and when you shoot, it feels likes somebody taking a cheese grater to your palms. That is my only thought.
I think they are cute for the girls that don't consider themselves to be serious sportswomen. *flame suit on* |
