| I have no place but out side to ride and tbe snow is sticking. In my horses feet so bad i cant make it more then a few steps befor i have to get off and clean feet out again. I tryed cooking spray and that didnt work . I was woundering if. Anyone. Rides in the snow with a boot. Like the ez boot glove or something. Or. Any ideas that have wormed for you and if u have used a boot did your horse have shoes on ? My horses do. And how hard is it to get them off in freezing temps. Thanks. In advance |

      Location: La Vernia, TX | I grew up in Michigan, so I feel your pain. Copious amounts of vaseline can help, but the best bet is to put pads on or pull the shoes and use a boot. Man, I don't miss that! Riding in snowsuits, ice balls on the feet, frozen water...nope, no thanks. I'll stay in the south!

          Location: Riding Crackhead. | It must be fairly warm where you are? That's mainly when I have the most trouble with snow sticking. When its colder and you keep them moving it'll fall out on its own. |

| They make snow pads, otherwise barefoot is the way to go in snow (unless your horse's feet will chip or break apart without them) |

       Location: In The Snow, AZ | Pull shoes. I pulled Cash's a few weeks ago. Had the farrier out to touch up my trim. He wanted to put shoes back on and i said no way. I'm also a whimp in the cold. So i won't be riding much. And if i do, i ride in the cinder hills. At the very least, i wont be picking feet ten times a day.. |

      Location: Living in my Promised Land | I have to keep shoes on my mare. I have tried everything. Last reset I had my farrier put razed pads in the front. They are working really well. She even balled up in the pasture. We have a lot of the snow that is great to make snowballs and snowmen. |
