| Out of curiosity, does anyone know if Jane Melby still has Beauty? Will Beauty return to competition again? I'm also curious about Sydni Blanchard's Shotgun, will she be running him again in the future?
I know they could have been injured or sold, I don't need to know the details, but I would love to see them run again, especially in the Thomas and Mack. I keep waiting to hear good news of their return! |

Location: Minnesota | Yes Jane still has beauty (: I cleaned her stall at their ranch in Oklahoma last week. She is diffidently crippled :( her right front Knee is between the size of a softball and a basketball. She is retired but still beautiful to watch run around in her turn out pen. (She doesn't like to be caught) but they are pulling eggs from her now. |

I believe she had bone chip removal. Surgery just didn't go as planned. :-/ she was such a cool horse to watch compete |

I remember reading somewhere she got hurt while she was turned out. I could be wrong though. |

I'm not bashing her, but do you think it was due to her build? It looked like she was on the thinner bone side, I had a horse just like that and I always worried about injuries because we had several. In my mind I felt like my horse was thin boned and it was the reason she was more prone to injury. Although I know it also depends on density of their bone. |

Dillon lives about 30 miles from us and I saw him run a few weeks ago. Trip Duperier bought him. His daughter rode him great and made a very nice smooth run off of him. |

| I'm pretty sure beauty is close to 10. I think she was futuritied in 2007 if my memory serves me right.
I think the knee was on going. I remember her switching horses at the nfr due to some heat in the knee. |

When she quit last year, there were several on here posting she sold him. Why not if she wasn't going to compete on him, and he could still run?

I don't think its crazy she sold him at all. I'm only going by in an interview with Carlee she said he'd always have a forever place in her pasture. |
