hey I'm looking for a new blanket for my 21 year old horse. Defenitly needs to be water proof, pretty thick too because I live in North Georgia. Any suggestions?

Definitely get weatherbeeta freestyle if you want a heavier warmer blanket. That's what my horse is wearing and I love it! it fits great and he was warm and dry even in a blizzard with -30+ temperatures (in Celsius) And they haven't even ripped it yet so I'm thinking it's great LOL

I put a 1800 denier Tough One blanket on my 35 year old Arab for the winter, and it works great.

Schneider's (sstack.com), has the best blankets for your money.. Weatherbeeta quality for half the price. Can't say enough good things.

Chicks Saddlery has great prices on Tough 1 blankets.  We got a 1600 Denier Heavy weight blanket for our 28 year old mare.  It held up great!

Tough Ones for sure! My 35 yr old arab wore a 1600 denier all winter ( in a Canadian winter) and it was the best blanket I have ever had. I've had other blankets but they were't the same as tough ones.
