I have not been a member for two years because of finishing nursing school, I plan on getting a new membership next month and running this upcoming year. I have a wildcard I won back a few years ago and didnt know if I would be able to enter open world (2014). I heard there was a new rule about having to be a member for a year before being eligible for entering with a wildcard.

I have heard the rule has been changed...........you should be able to use..........

As long as you have a valid Member ID# and Wild Card at the time of the entry, which will be sometime in Sept of 2014, you can enter the Open World. You would not have to run a single NBHA race in 2014 but could still enter the NBHA World Show as long as you are an active member and use your Wild Card.

More profit for the World Show would be my guess as to why they would make the rule change regarding this, if that is, in fact, what they did. Doesn't say a lot for those of us that have been supporting the association for a long time...it's just as easy to run other associations and buy a Wild Card for the World show if we decide at the last minute we want to go.
