Before anyone flames me, I have no idea at what length this has already been discussed, if it has it was zapped before I was able to read it. Below is Taylor jacob's response to one of my FB friends who went straight to her to ask about the tenth round.

I never thought that she was punishing him for hitting the barrel. Almost every round he seemed to be harder and harder to stop.

Just my opinion of course but I'm calling bs on this one. That horse was stopped and not running back down the ally. My guess had a change of heart after seeing what she had done and was schooling.. Still, she probably knew there were cameras there. If it were truly an ally running off issue, then just let it go. It was the 10th round and everyone was heading home next day. Or better yet, let the bull riding get over, get the crowd out of there and take him back to the ally to school..lol

People always have to find someone to pick on. Unfortunately it was her this time. It's not your horse and I guarantee 95% of us just saw bits and pieces from tv and not in person so you don't know exactly what happened. So what makes you able to judge?

I agree enough is enough. First of all this looks like a private message not a public statement and probably shouldn't have been put up here anyway. Second of all whether she was mad, scared, or who knows it happened, we saw a split second of it, it's over- LEAVE HER ALONE!

My gosh we are COMPETITORS in this sport, we should SUPPORT our own. The attitudes of so many people this week is sickening.

Worth  repeating that in all my years knowing Taylor I have never seen her mistreat a horse or take what happened in the pen out on her horse.  I felt 100% secure in letting her take one of mine for a month. And you don't just let go running off issues whether at the NFR or your backyard.

Have you people become God? I will start right now praying to BHW. Y'all have got to be kidding me or yourself one because you people can not say you have not scolded your horse at some point at a horse show. Come on people cowgirl up and tell the truth or stay off BHW with your holy than thow attitude.

It never bothered me that she had reprimanded the horse. All I thought was uh oh.....she's going to get verbally attacked by every other know-it-all barrel racer / horse owner out there.

I watched a hand full of runs from the BFA and there were alot of horses that ran down the alley (obviously didn't stop to read the WHOA banner) and smacked into the gates. Horses fell, riders fell off......maybe some of them should reprimand their horses more often.

I stated in my original post that I have not seen anyone discuss this topic. I posted here, because I felt bad that people were blowing up her FB with all the negative comments and assumed you all had seen it too. If you're tired of discussing it then don't post here.

Also, I had permission to post this, it's not like a snuck into someone's phone and took it. It is a statement supporting her, not bashing.

Exactly!

I was there watching at the South Point one night when he ran into the back gate. I was surprised when she did nothing. I would have done something right there and then.

I have a horse that you have to watch after you make your run if you walk back by the alley as he will try to take off and go down back the alley.

What she did that I saw on TV is such a small thing that I can't even believe it has become a topic of conversation.

If you want to talk about horse abuse, how about the big name trainer that killed one at Ft Smith several years ago. Now that is worth shaming a person over. This talk about TJ is disgusting.

There is a time and place for letting things slide, but IMHO dangerous behaviour does not fall in that category - EVER.   Not stopping is dangerous to horse, rider, bystanders and should not be tolerated.

This is kind of off topic but along the lines of stopping. What is with the guys in the alley waving to help stop those horses? I am suprised they didnt cause a wreck of their own. I can think of a few horses that would duck or shy away from someone standing there waving like that.
