Location: Northern CA | Sometimes life just sucks. We have a student here at our high school who just lost his dad this morning in an automobile collision. He was on his way home, after dropping him off at the bus stop. Another driver, late for work, was driving 70 in the fog, and passed a vehicle, hitting him head on, killing him instantly. This was a great family- he was the sole money earner, supportive dad and husband. Mom doesn't drive or speak english. This family is in for a hard road ahead, it breaks my heart. Please say a quick, prayer for this family in this time of need. |

I so agree........on the way to town today a man passed vehicles on a double yellow line.......into oncoming traffic........if I had not slowed down for him to get over could have very well been a similar situation.....I wonder if some folks even think when driving...........
Prayers for this family.......... |

Location: stray dump capital of the world | This has been a tragic couple of months for families in my school as well. I had a student (4th grade) die in early November and then yesterday, a student I had last year lost her mother leaving 6 daughters behind. So terrible a loss but more so at this time of year.
Prayers to the family of this young man.

| My mother was killed in an auto accident on DEC 20, 1967. Needless to say the Christmas is difficult for me. I have NEVER quite gotten over this. There is no way that this family can replace their father/husband BUT someone needs to be proactive for this family and probably the most important thing that anyone can do is help the mom apply for Social Security for the kids immediately. This will certainly help financially. I will certainly keep the family in my prayers as I have been there/done that/know the situation. |
