I am thinking of using one of the Christian Based medical share deals and would be interested in any advice, reccomendations, or warnings, experiences anyone can share. Thanks

I have been reading a good bit about them lately. They are what some are using as an alternative to insurance for medical expenses. You pay a monthly fee, but it is usually less than traditianal insurance. Different organizations do it a little different, but most have you send it directly to a person in need of help with expenses each month. Then if you aquire expenses, you submit a request and they have others send the money directly to you to cover them. That is the basics as far as I understand them.

It’s not a scam.
Just a heads up, a lot of hospitals/clinics don’t participate with these types of share programs so be prepared to pay up front (or payment plan, a lot of clinics/hospitals will work with you) and then be reimbursed by the medical share. At least that's how it is around here with our clinics. :)

I'm not saying that all medical sharing plans are not legit, however this that you have described sounds like a Ponzi scheme to me (pyramid scheme). I would investigate very, very carefully.

I worked for an engineer and his family used Medi-share so I do know it is on the up and up. Worked for him but he made a great income! He had umpteen kids and his monthly payment was way less than regular insurance.
