Im sure the show doesnt show every aspect of their lives.. the show was not trashy last night nor has been at all. it hasnt shown all night drunks nor drunks at all. it hasnt shown whores at all (sorry to break the news) it has shown some good riding .. marvel and barb can flat out ride and the others arent to bad at all. is their some drama? well not anymore then everyday .newsflash.. there was a bikini race (gasp) in real life.. did they flaunt around No.. marv didnt even participate. .. the trailer was bad .. the episodes arent . is it cookie cutter to real rodeo .. maybe maybe not.. these girls have struggles to . darcy isnt as much a drama queen as predicted. the horses are super nice. 2 days to get to red bluff.. does it matter really? I think some nitpick to nitpick... is evryones lives perfect?

Location: North Dakota | That would make sense since it seems that Barb has been helping her quite a bit especially in last night's episode. She was right there before and after her runs to coach her or to tell her good job. I really enjoyed last night's episode. I wish they would show their entire runs though. They all looked like they had some pretty darn nice runs last night! I really liked Marv's horse. He seems gritty and tough. Darcy seemed to be riding her horse really well too. All in all I think each episode is getting better and better. The first 15 minutes of the first episode had me worried but now I am looking forward to each week. I really hope people quit bashing it and start actually tuning in. I would love to see more episodes after these first 6. |

LOL My husband pointed out that the ground in the "shower" wasn't even wet. So I don't know if that all happened before he had the opportunity to shower, but we thought it was funny.
Also, I was at that bikini barrel race (they had an open race that night too), and was whooping it up in the crowd throughout the whole bikini barrel race. It was a really fun time!! They had a calcuta (sp?) for all of the racers and it the arena was packed with specatators.
ETA: I was also at the Red Bluff Round-Up the day that Marvel and Darcy did the cowgirl race...Marvel rode the hair off that horse! It's really neat seeing people and places that I know on tv!

The trailer made it look like they were trying to appeal to the crowd that watches Jersey Shore/Big Tips Texas and the like...but after seeing some episodes of Rodeo Girls, I'm not sure that non-rodeo people would find much to relate to. That's okay with me though, I'm sure all of us here can relate to a lot of the stuff that happens on that show...like when the lady told Marv that she needed to hang up her spurs and find a career because she didn't want her to end up with nothing except a broken down truck and trailer and a horse that almost made the finals. Wow...I'm sure everybody going down the road full time has heard that at least once while going through a dry spell.

It's funny, it has fashion, nice rigs, pretty horses, and it shows different arenas. Plus I love Megan's black hat. That is exactly how I want my hat shaped and now I have something to go off of. I have had the shape I wanted in my head and then lastnight I told my husband "I want her hat!" hahaha I also like seeing how they do their hair. I wish I could look that good at a rodeo. I have to work on my hair styling skills because I'm pretty sure I missed that gene when I was born a girl. |

I could have ridden my grey horse and blown all of them away. What brand was it because the next one I buy will have a high resale value like that one. Then there was the guy taking a shower outside. Who does that and with no water? Location: 31 lengths farms | I used to help get the girls signed up and out on the track for the Cowgirl Race...let me tell you it is western and it is cut throat. Whether Darcy got left at the start or not I'm impressed she went thru with it. That track is barely worked up, has a spot about 20 yards from the start line that trucks drive back and forth thru in and out of the infield that is like concrete and the track is barely wide enough to fit 6 horses let alone 10 screaming and whipping females. The start gate for the TB races is a 6 horse start gate and barely fits. And no horses with lip tattoos are allowed, they check them for the cowgirl race.
Its the 3rd weekend of every April so come on down!!!

Both of those were funny and so was Anthony's comment from the first episode about Darcy having "more exhusbands than he's had horses". He was joking obviously, but that was hilarious!  And it was awesome to see Lee Ann on TV, she is one tough lady for sure.

I don't take the show TOO seriously when I watch it. Yes, the part when I saw Jessica riding a different horse when I haven't seen or heard her talking about another kinda peeved me but I'm not going to sit here and bash it. First of all us arguing over each other's opinions of it, isn't going to change the show so there isn't a point in it.
im just glad that they made a show about barrel racing. When people ask me about what I do with my horses I usually have to explain what barrel racing is about and most people I went to school with thought it was dumb and easy. Maybe more people will realize there is more to rodeo than Bronc and bull riding. |

Oh this is interesting! I noticed when they where lined up somebody looking in one of the horses mouths, and I was wondering what they were looking for. Just wishfull thinking, I was invisioning myself running in the race and which one of mine would be the fastest! All 3 of mine have lip tatoo"s though! I'm kinda digging the show. I like anything that has to to with barrel horses, love seeing the rigs and the fashion. I feel a little sorry for Darcy, but hey she is at least trying and doing what she loves. Marvel and Barb both are very talented, and I think Marvel has a trailer full of nice horses! The 2 rookies are cute too. I also like the fashion. No I am never that dolled up but the all look cute to me. I loved Jessica's jeans in the last episode. the ones she has on when they where going to sell the saddle. Kind of a trouser type jean with flaps on the back pockets. Can anyone tell me what kind they are? |

Location: 31 lengths farms | They have 3 goes for the Wild HOrse race, a Friday night one, then Saturday and Sunday. 10 girls may run each day, usually the 3 races are full by Friday night before the rodeo starts and we had a waiting list in case anyone pulled out. The gentleman that checks the mouth had horses on the track for years so knows what he is looking at :-)
I think Marvel has won it several times, actually. Scares the h*ll out of me that she runs it in split reins!!!!

The trailer made it look like they were trying to appeal to the crowd that watches Jersey Shore/Big Tips Texas and the like...but after seeing some episodes of Rodeo Girls, I'm not sure that non-rodeo people would find much to relate to. That's okay with me though, I'm sure all of us here can relate to a lot of the stuff that happens on that show...like when the lady told Marv that she needed to hang up her spurs and find a career because she didn't want her to end up with nothing except a broken down truck and trailer and a horse that almost made the finals. Wow...I'm sure everybody going down the road full time has heard that at least once while going through a dry spell.
I have given this speech many times! Go to college, get a good job, rodeo for fun! |

Location: SW New Mexico | This show IMO , is a soap opera.. with horses.
The change of horses is a Hollywood trick.. Look at the horse bucking in the movie, The Cowboys.. Not the same horse after the action sequence was over... and there's tack changes and things I notice in movies that are different, scene to scene...
We all know this isn't reality, what with the blast of the horn to start and stop barrel racers, at least not in PRCA/WPRA rodeos I've entered..(I don't call them shows)and that expensive horse trailer , seriously.. .....it doesn't have a inside shower? Well alrighty then...
Staying at a bed and breakfa$t when hauling a expensive horse trailer that has everything?
I know my budget is tight, and that's a expense I couldn't afford..I'm trying to pay for the trailer and entry fees! :)
But this is a TV show, and it happens in TV land...! LOL!
And some of the terminology isn't really what we all say..
obviously Hollywood scriptwriters are busy...
BUT ,
That said..
like a soap...
I'm slowly getting hooked into the storyline..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why did she need to go to his aunt's house to see if there was going to be any trouble with him? I thought you made your run & busted tail to get to the next rodeo. I am still trying to figure out how many days did they stay in Red Bluff & why so long? Unless they were all up in different perfs? |

Location: 31 lengths farms | If I remember correctly Red Bluff, everyone runs in slack, then the they take back so many with the slowest qualifiers on Friday night and then the next fastest on Saturday and the fastest on Sunday. So you may or may not get 2 runs depending on how your slack run goes.... |

Im sure the show doesnt show every aspect of their lives.. the show was not trashy last night nor has been at all. it hasnt shown all night drunks nor drunks at all. it hasnt shown whores at all (sorry to break the news) it has shown some good riding .. marvel and barb can flat out ride and the others arent to bad at all. is their some drama? well not anymore then everyday .newsflash.. there was a bikini race (gasp) in real life.. did they flaunt around No.. marv didnt even participate. .. the trailer was bad .. the episodes arent . is it cookie cutter to real rodeo .. maybe maybe not.. these girls have struggles to . darcy isnt as much a drama queen as predicted. the horses are super nice. 2 days to get to red bluff.. does it matter really? I think some nitpick to nitpick... is evryones lives perfect?

I actually don't hate it, but especially the first episode was pretty trashy to me. I'm mostly disappointed in how they shoot it and do a HORRIBLE job of editing the runs. I really would like to see more than 5 minutes of actual riding. And maybe a complete run would be fantastic.

they went to a bar.. wow.. lots do.. I didnt see any trash there..
no trailer hopping as everyone thought
their rides were edited..but soem rides were shown completely.. maybe slow motion but completely... its a show !! but yes they did ride well.??and you dont think so?? lol
The horses are super nice
its not cookiecutter to rodeo but its a show . bikini race does happen .... is it a behind the scene type show NO.. its a entertainment type show.. but its not as bad as the trailer made it out to be as far as trashy.. I didnt see anything that istn out of the normal .. and look at the ones on here being catty..LOL! and yet point fingers at them..
and lets see anything else?

Yep, you are right. I dated him all through HS. He and Marvel married, divorced, and then got back together for about a year. I still talk to him, and he actually told me he was getting back together with her BECAUSE of this show, but they had a blowout before filming. Their relationship was very toxic and they were BOTH crazy when they were together. She is no victim. |
