Well I want my daughter to just buy a real nice clean looking set but she is stuck on a high bling set.
So my questions...
What brand do you recommend?
How do they hold up overtime?
The ones she was looking at say not to use or store in temps under 50 degrees, I informed her were not moving to florida so she can have a lil bling goin on.
You can PM me if you dont feel comfortable posting negatives about a company on here.

Rode Drive and Luans guarantee theirs. Not sure on others. |

| I had that exact set in the picture you posted. I loved it until it started to chip and crystals fell off. That particular brand of tack does not last very long or stand up to much use |

Location: Centerville, TN | I only use mine at barrel races. When I take my saddle off, I'll get a towel and wipe the sweat off and put oil on the back side of the breast collar and head stall. For everyday use, the tried and true leather no bling for everyday. |

Ditto!
I had someone make conchos. Also, she painted flowers. However, she didn't do the flowers correctly so I redid them the correct way. In the end it was the same result as buying conchos and a nice breastcollar. I still only use it for shows (but I go less than most people). The rest of my tack has silver dots and nice leather. I'm dolling up my saddle with picture conchos for mChristmas! (BTW: I paid $95 and the cost of paint)
-The leather makers mentioned are amazing. If you can go that route they are worth the money. They are made to withstand the test of time. I couldn't justify buying one for the amount of shows I go to. :)

I have Luans sets. I have a leopard hair on set that I've had since 07 or 08. I don't use my sets just for barrel races, they get used for daily riding along with working cattle. They stand the test of time. IMO they also stay classy looking and don't go out of style. Well worth the money. |

| I really like the quality of TroubleMaker Tack....
http://troublemakercustomleather.com/
This is a lady that does it on the side. She is Jane Melby's tack sponsor-and her quality for the price is reasonable.
It is not the cheapest place to go, but not the most expensive.
Just ordered a custom bronc halter from her-love it! |

| Well, the first question is how much are you looking to spend? The one in the picture is around $250 for the combo- Luann's, Heritage, Crown Leather, etc can be $600-$700. If you are looking for something AMAZING, by all means, stick with the better stuff...but if this is for a child (and to be honest, if I wouldn't buy something like that for myself...my kid ain't getting one, either, LOL) they may ruin it. Would you be upset with them or yourself if this happened? |

You can always send the conchos in off the set to someone who makes custom conchos and have them bling up the conchos. |

I would like to stay under $400 but quality is most important, im not going to pay any amount for something that wont last. |

9 times out of 10 most of the stuff says "out of stock" but if you call her she can make the set you're wanting. I spoke with her the other day and she has pretty much everything except for 1 or 2 hides. Very prompt service and awesome quality. |

I'm working on getting things photographed and the website updated with all the leftover NFR stock. There's not many matching sets left in stock, so the Matching Sets page is completely up to date. The individual pieces that don't have matches in stock are being updated now. If you see something you want and it's out of stock, just holler and we can make another one. We're booked till late January right now.
In 2013 we perfected and began applying a protective top coat on all our crystal conchos and buckles to make them more durable and easier to wipe clean. Not all makers go the extra mile there, but we do |

| I agree with Luans leathers or Heritage Brand, they're great quality. I don't have a headstall or breastcollar, but I have a blinged out headstall from luans and my sister has a blingy headstall and breastcollar and they all look as good as new. Definitely worth the money, and I think they have a really classy look for being so blingy. |
