i have one of those... I have to chain every gate with a clip or she lets herself out and every one she likes LOL
her mother was the same way. one day she let herself out then she let the baby horse I had just bought out, then she opened the gate from the arena to the back yard then the backyard gate to freedom. my neigher calls and says yours horses are running around like idiots that just escaped the coocoo farm. all of this mares babies do the same thing!

I had a gelding that was a artist at times. One time imhad 2 mares and 2 geldingk my old gelding let hismself out and the two mares, funny. I watched him at a show stalls had double, doors 45 seconds out and gone. Also, i use to haul him wity a mare to season. Had a nice 2 horse tag along came back with my mare and that old gelding had opened that back door of the trailer and ripped the pads on the inside of the stall. I also used to,take his lead rope and loop the tie ring on the trailer and tie it to his halter. Of course the gate had 3 types of latches.
