Lol. I think they're over doing the whole Kelli thing. But honestly, they've been painting Meghan as the catty one since the get go. At least that's the vibe I've been getting.
P.S: They need a new "galloping" horse sound effect. LOL It's the same sound every time! Even for the colt!!

The little bity baby that was running around? She had her up on Facebook. JJ is her barn name. I think she's by BHR Frenchies Socks maybe? It looks like the same blaze face filly she posted on her Facebook. Don't quote me on that though.

The Kelli and Meghan thing was weird? I've never seen girls be that downright catty to eachother at first meeting and just go at it about who's better?(behind eachothers backs SURE! lol but it was just odd how it came about) 
?Also, thought it was sweet Barb's hubby showed up, it seemed to give her a good confidence boost  |

The person backing the trailer up is wearing a white checked shirt and cowboy hat yet it goes on to show Marv getting out of the drivers side wearing a grey hoodie and no hat......just funny because Darcy yelled at her to not hit her trailer..... |

I assume those weren't his true words or thoughts.......What cowboy goes around describing anything as cozy or intimate? LOL |

I was wondering how Megan was going to get her trailer home when Jess takes her truck...lol. Also what did Jess do with her horse? I think Barb hauls the one but doesn't she have another one that gets hauled with Megan?
Oh and someone mentioned the backing scene. I thought it was Ty driving but then all of a sudden Marv gets out of the driver's seat? lol Why show that clip of a guy backing it in if you are going to then show Marv getting out? Why not just leave that clip out? They need new editors...hahaha!
All the horses are looking really good but I sure wish they would show the darn runs! Barb and Marv had some nice runs. I would love to have seen the whole thing.
I also thought it was pretty funny when Jess said Megan's time was one of the slowest of the rodeo so she shouldn't be happy with it but yet her time was even slower....lol.
All the girls seem to be rooting for one another except Megan...she is kind of just a bratty youngin'. But I'm sure she isn't like that in real life. They just pinned that character on her. But if you watch when all the girls are bummed when someone tips Megan is laughing. hahaha!
I love the show and hope it will be back for a 2nd season though I doubt it due to all the nay sayers who have never sat down to actually watch the show they bash so harshly. |

Can they please get a new galloping horse sound? They use the same sound for every run AND they used it for the scene of the colt running around. It reminds me of the Monty Python coconuts. Haha
I honestly didn't even notice the Marv/Ty switcharoo. Guess I don't watch it close enough.

| I have read up on some of the accomplishments of the cast members. One of which is a Dodge Circut FInals Champ. Before I knew this I thought they must have picked actresses pretending to be cowgirls. Now I see that the girls are actually hands, and that the script of the show takes away from that tremendously. Maybe because I dont get as far West as Red Bluff, but I cant remember ever hearing a horn at the start of a run. Rodeo is actually the perfect platform for a reality show. Lots of ups and downs, lots at stake, and usually plenty of dramatic circumstances that life on the road brings about. I dont think the show is horrible, I just think it has potential to be so much better. |

supposedly (in one article I read) it took 3 takes for the "big fight" in the first episode
maybe he took off his hat in previous takes and forgot to do it on the one that made the final cut hahahaha |

I don't think she's catty bc of what she said/did to Jessica. Just the way she is in general. Like the 2nd episode when she didn't want to stop to help Marv. And the constant *****ing she does on the road.

Honestly...I "would hope" that Anthony got a hotel room and not slept in the trailer with the girls. Knowing the size of my trailer and bed, all I can think is ewwwww creepy. I also thought it was Meghan's trailer and Jessica's truck, so kinda splitting things. Meghan needs to give a firm "no" to Anthony staying. She was wishy washy at best, but then decided to act like a boob for the camera. She's been snotty from the beginning and needs a shot of reality. That said, Jessica is a mooch, but at least she comes off as a silent mooch. There is too much drama around Meghan which I figured was reserved for Darcy. |

Somebody may have answered this already but how do these girls make a living and stay on the road in new big rigs when they don't work? Darcy I get but the rest it seems like they're not running and winning enough to cover the cost of staying on the road without a job.
Barb & her husband raise & train horses, so I think that funds her rodeo. Along with her being pretty decent in the competitions too.
Megan said in the first episode that her parents support her financially.
I don't know about Jessica.
Marv seems to place a lot of the places she goes, and I think she has a few sponsors too to help her along. |

I know that your a big fan so I try not to say to much neg. about it, but dang I wanted to see some barrel racing and the girls getting down and dirty cleaning stalls washing horses, all the things that us normal people do to get really for a run and after the run. But I do like seeing good looking horses. Wish I could look as good as they do with all their perfect makeup and clean clothes, in my world the makeup and staying clean is not going to happen, LOL. |

There are a lot of girls around here that look perfectly made up at every show, regardless of the time of year or size of the show. Cute clothes, perfect hair, perfect makeup, the works. I have NO idea how they stay clean. I break a sweat just hooking up the trailer.
It's not a documentary. Just a TV show. They have to show the "interesting" aspects or no one would watch it but barrel racers.

Would you really want to watch a show about women cleaning stalls? lol They do show them cleaning, tacking up, brushing, practicing, etc. but remember it is only an hour long show so of course they want the majority of the show about entertainment and drama because I know I sure don't want to watch even 5 minutes of someone cleaning a stall. I have to do enough of that in real life I dont need to see it on TV. I love their makeup and clothes. I really like western fashion so I love getting ideas. I wish they would show more of their runs but I don't want the entire show to be just clips of rodeo action. If I want to watch nothing but barrel racing I will tune into WPRAToday. Sometimes I just want to see some mindless entertainment with a little drama, fashion, and horses. :) |

I was wondering why Jess ran a 19. The little bit they showed didn't look that bad other than going by 3rd to avoid hitting it. Also was that a true standard pattern? or is the ground just slow because an 18.3 made money which at most pro rodeos would not even come close on a standard. Brenda Mays ran a 17.9 and it looked like a 17.5 or .6 was leading I think?? I can't remember for sure but I think that is what the scoreboard said when they showed it for a second. I was wondering if it was a standard pattern when watching it. |

I am guessing that they only got their permits for the show. Megan is friends with Darcy's daughter, Jessica is friends with Barb. I would bet that Darcy and Barb got them on the show but they had to get their permits so they could go to the pro rodeos with them. |

Location: Washington | Sisters is a standard pattern but the ground is very tricky. Almost all the horses that placed were top of the ground in each performance. My first barrel there was actually on the show last night. That horse of mine never runs past the first but did there, what it didnt show is the horses that could barely stand up or get out of their turns. The ground gets very deep and feels like you are running on marbles. When barb says on the show it's tricky to run there she is not kidding!! |

I think Barb and Marv have good horses. I did rodeo and I believe the biggest pattern they can run is a standard except Pendleton. I could be wrong but I think that is the rule. I have seen low 18s on a standard win at rodeos but never a 19 and their runs didn't look that bad. |

Nicole Aichele who holds a few standard pattern records ran an 18.09 so if it was a true standard the ground must have been pretty slow because usually something closer to a 17.0 wins on a standard at a pro rodeo. |

No, the real problem is the moron(s) in charge of editing the show. WHY CAN THEY NOT SHOW AN ENTIRE RUN? It's a few seconds long and hacking it up with slow-mo and crappy camera angles really destroys every run and therefore the entire show. I couldn't care less about the stupid, petty drama. Why would ANYONE want to watch awkward, uncomfortable situations fold out for people? I watch it to see them run, and have been bitterly disappointed with this entire show every time I see it. The people in charge really need to go back to film school. |

They have all the results & payouts on the WPRA website. I saw that most races cost around $110 just to enter. |

I'm still trying to figure out which parts of it are so "not real"? Would the part of the person who has done huge things, took time off, for whatever reason and is now busting their hump, trying to make a comeback not be real? Oh, maybe the parts of the couple of young permit holders, with stars in their hauling their tails off in hopes of filling said permit are what's not real? Oh, I've got it, it's the role of the seat of her pants, crazy as a loon, tough as they come, gets a check more often than not, but is always broke and blowing through way more than their winnings die hard that is fake! Certainly, nobody is implying that going to a bar after a rodeo, hauling buddy issues, or everybody picking on the rich chick who bought herself a few nice horses and enjoys chasing her dreams are not a part of our world?! |

Yeah I looked them up during the show. Darcys run looked faster than an 18.3 but it cost her a lot of time the way she hit the third. Her first and second were smokin. |

Would the part of the person who has done huge things, took time off, for whatever reason and is now busting their hump, trying to make a comeback not be real? Oh, maybe the parts of the couple of young permit holders, with stars in their hauling their tails off in hopes of filling said permit are what's not real? Oh, I've got it, it's the role of the seat of her pants, crazy as a loon, tough as they come, gets a check more often than not, but is always broke and blowing through way more than their winnings die hard that is fake! Certainly, nobody is implying that going to a bar after a rodeo, hauling buddy issues, or everybody picking on the rich chick who bought herself a few nice horses and enjoys chasing her dreams are not a part of our world?!
Man no kidding!! Everything that goes on on that show DOES happen at rodeos and going to rodeos... Females ARE catty and they talk smack (usually behind backs) but overall what shows on the show DOES happen. I don't see mattress hopping going on in the show. Barb is married and WANTED her husband to show up. The blonde girl is maybe starting a relationship. Marv seems like relationship with a BF is NOT on her mind, the young brown haired girl hasn't been trailer hopping. I know people who have had to KICK OUT others out of their rigs on the road. I know people go out to bars at the rodeo and there are LOTS and LOTS of rich girls out there that buy expensive horses and give it a go. The show makes me laugh and overall I like it. |

Location: on airplane in some other country | i havent read any of the posts...it is just tiring to read all the negativity... but, i think the show is totally entertaining. i think it is honest. this shows the rookies trying to get ahead, the vets trying to maintain. it shows young love. there is no bed hopping amongst the girls. i dont think it portrays the sport in a negative way. i have posted much on FB in support of this show. there is far more cattiness on this board which is why i do not come here very often. (i was actually shopping for a saddle... which made me look). but, as in any reality show, it is scripted. the juicy is only what is entertaing. i think a show on the top 15 would be somewhat boring. i could buy instructional videos if that is what i wanted. |

It's not that the situations are unbelievable, it's just that they are scripted for the show
Personally, I think the show is kinda funny. I like watching the horses, even if the "lines" are a bit cheesy sometimes |

Why would ANYONE want to watch awkward, uncomfortable situations fold out for people? I watch it to see them run, and have been bitterly disappointed with this entire show every time I see it. The people in charge really need to go back to film school.
Try to keep it positive, don't click on the link if you don't enjoy the show. Having said that, I don't think they CAN film the whole runs - TV rights are not free. WPRA and their "show" have rights, as does whomever the PRCA grants rodeo TV rights to, but again, not free. They had a small buget, from what I have read of the show, and I'm sure paying for the rights to a few runs wasn't included, that's why you keep getting a two barrel view. I don't know this for a fact, but it makes sense. |

The WPRA doesn't have anything to do with the WPRA Today show. They just film WPRA events and televise them, WPRA gets more expose, win win for both. So I don't think the WPRA has any copywrite laws that the Rodeo Girls show would be violating by showing the entire run. But I could be wrong. I think they only show parts of the run because not all the parts are worth showing, so they just show the one or two good turns they make and slow motion etc. to make it look more dramatic. |

All of the girls could not have been better to work with in this regard. Clearly, it is good exposure for Renew Gold, but, we have also enjoyed working directly with the girls involved. They have shown that whatever else is going on, their horse care has been first rate. As most barrel racers on the road know, whether it is purely for the sport, to make a living, or for a reality show, No horse, no success. |

Location: Florida.. | winwillows - 2013-12-30 1:42 PM I can shed a little light on the Renew Gold patches. Renew Gold was asked to help with the nutrition of the horses on the show. We were happy to do so. All of the girls could not have been better to work with in this regard. Clearly, it is good exposure for Renew Gold, but, we have also enjoyed working directly with the girls involved. They have shown that whatever else is going on, their horse care has been first rate. As most barrel racers on the road know, whether it is purely for the sport, to make a living, or for a reality show, No horse, no success.

I don't think she competes. She's just there to help Barb on the road & in turn, she gets Barb's help on her riding. At least that's what they said in the 2nd episode. |
