Slide By Leo - visit www.flatenranch.com  -  he is a 1d performer - a 19 second pole horse - an amazing all around Stallion. I have one of his daughters - look under recent performers and see videos.  They are athletic - reining horse quick and extremely smart.  I could write a book about all of the things I love about my Rosie - I cant even come up with a sentence on something I might not like about her - she is just that cool.  Their minds are their best asset  - quiet thinkers that just do so many things right.... I have a baby on the ground from their other stallion - Driver and will be getting another Sly baby this spring.  Give them a call or shoot them an email.

To still be able to put Leo on a set of papers is pretty awesome.

No kidding! He has Paint papers and white splotch on his side, but he is bred better than most quarter horses!!  They are very diligent breeders - they are still big believers in the foundation blood lines.

I have yet to see a Sly baby that hasn't gone on to do something.  Indy is a great mare out of Cherokee Indian broodmare doing college rodeo and very competitve.  Jags has won a lot of money in big shows - truly a 1D horse - and his full brother Ace belongs to a young junior rodeo girl who is winning 1D at some good size shows back home. Outrunning some open rodeo horses and he has only been on the barrel pattern about 6 months.  They are just really great horses and it's hard to describe it - but once you own one you are like...holy cow - I need another one!

Thanks. What are the pedigrees to the foals you've named, so that I can see their dam's lines?

I know En Skips Firewater has quite a bit of earning and is a nice nice barrel horse.

Most of the ones I own or know of have come off the track and started standing at stud. Easy Dasher is a really nice barrel horse. I was pregnant when I purchased him so have not had the opportunity to run him often. I am in the process of legging up Easy Dasher and Cherokee Bully so we can start hauling soon. :)

Specialeyes is a world champion paint barrel horse and was a jam up jackpot horse when he was running. He doesn't have many babies out there… I have one of his sons and he's a super nice barrel horse.

Easy Dasher as in the gray paint stud? I was looking at him. I have a nice gray tovero mare that I can't decide if I want to breed this year or run. She's a retired Reiner.

Pine Mist Awesome is a !D barrel horse and has produced 1D as well, and Mr Judy Two is a homozygous black by Judys Lineage that is 4 this year and just getting started. I think he has a very promising career ahead of him.

Shoot - I am not sure of his stud fee - I prefer to buy the babies rather than waiting but I think it might be somewhere between $750 and $1,000 - best give them a call or send them an email and ask them directly.  I will say they are great to work with - very accomodating.

FWIW I am not going to buy, I want a baby from MY mare. Since I intend to keep it for myself, I am incredibly picky aout the stallion, too.

Stud fee for Slide by Leo is $750.  It may go up to $800 in 2014.  And if you go to APHA and look up Sires - he was 6th on the 2012 sire list for money won by his get.  He was also 24 - or rather Lad Leo was 24th because of the money that Sly won himself.
