so how long did it take you to lose the "last 20"? I started out at 145. ( i am 5'4 age 34) and have worked my way to 135. I would like to be 115-120 because ive been that weight and it looks great..its just hard to keep up as a single mommy of an 8 year old. So how long did it take you to lose that painful last 20? for those that have achieved their goal weight :)

diet change... no pop(including diet) no fast food ... that doesn't mean I ate veg all the time I just ate balanced and better choices. fad diets just set you up for failure. anytime I did things physically I made it into a workout. like squatting down to pick up my son I actually did a squat focusing on the muscles. I woke up early to ride the horses every day. stopped watching tv and played with my son and before you know it I was actually about 15 pounds lighter than before I had my son. I gained about 55-60ish pounds with him. Now im on baby #2 with about 8 weeks left and I have gained 23 pounds sigh.. here we go again

HA! I still haven't lost it LOL

Before I was pregnant, I weighed 115lbs.....when I went for my last check up the day I was induced I weighed 175lbs. After I had my daughter and left the hospital I weighed 145, not sure what I am at now but it's been pretty hard.....lots of exercise, dieting and eating right along with cutting out sugary drinks

It really is about eating right.  Ditto to whomever said about  no fast food, and no soda!  I will splurge on a diet soda here and there, but mostly water, although I do have coffee every day.  My bad thing is salt.  I eat SO much salt!  If I don't eat salt for a couple of days, I will drop 3-4 pounds in water weight!  LOL!

I bring lean cuisine to eat for lunch at work, and drink a TON of water.  I also do Zumba 3x a week, and I also wake up early and ride.  Right now I am about 125#, but I too want to get down to around 110-115...  I just feel better about myself at that weight.

I had to do Atkins for the last 20 pounds after giving birth. I tracked everything for 2 months and then started eating normal again. It helped me realize how much crappy food I was consuming. By adjusting my diet, the weight came off pretty quick. I think I lost 1-2 pounds per week.

I lost 45 pounds in 4 months!  The last 15 werent even part of my goal but the first 30 came off so easily I kept going!  Decided to pay it forward and help others so I became a Certified Health Coach.  Heres some info http://lovemynewlife.ichooseoptimalhealth.com/

I don't do Adkins but I can lose about half a pound per day by staying under 80 grams of carbs per day.

It takes a lot of work!

Last time I went from 145 to 120 (I'm also 5'4") it took 1200 calorie days, minimum of 30 minutes cardio every day.  On top of that, either another workout (weights), riding 3+ horses, or waitressing 4+ hours everyday.  It's possible, but it ain't easy!  Little to no booze or eating out :-(  Oh, and it took me 4 months.
