has anyone ever organized a used tack sale as a fundraiser for your club or organization? I am wanting to do one for my group and wondering what is a fair split for the $. Thanks!

What do you mean by split?
These were super popular in Michigan with 4-h clubs. Typically $20 for a 10x10 spot, $10 to rent a table if you didn't have one, and $2 or $3 admission for the shoppers. Usually a club would run a concession stand too.

I didn't explain clear enough. I'm meaning an auction tack sale. if someone has used tack they want to sell, bring it to be sold to the highest bidder. but I don't know what is a fair split for the selling price.

I went to a race this summer that had a silent auction. Items were placed out with paper for bids, highest bidder wins. I liked it better than a live auction. You could check on the bidding during the day. About an hour before the race was over they announced bidding would close in 15 minutes.Items were all donated so it was all profit. I guess if they were high dollar items you could ask for 1/2 or whatever.
