I have found 2 prospects that I am really interested in making an offer on, unfortunately I can only afford 1. I am looking for something that can eventually be a rodeo horse. Both are 3 about to be 4 both are trotting the pattern and both are priced about the same. I just want to see what you all might gravitate towards.....
1st one is a grand get of Corona Cartel and crossed on a smart little lena mare (this one is paid in full to future fortunes)
2nd is a grand get of Firewater Flit and crossed on a Coup de kas mare (this one is future fortunes eligible but not paid in)

Not really alot of information to go on, but I am partial to Coup De Kas pedigrees, and not big on cow/run crosses so I would choose the second. But that's just me!

I like the pedigree of the first horse, but I'm partial to horses that have some cow in them. Plus you wouldn't have to worry about getting all the fees in for FF

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mA5oTFSdFfg I would take the first one !!! Miss N Cash may look like race but he is actually a cutting horse sire watch the promo video from 1990s but this is just based on papers my opinion could change quickly if conformation is not better than the other choice..... I have a bully bullion X miss n cash filly that is showing every bit of being faster than the fancy race bred I have. so just depends on the horse

Wow!!!! Small world. I was in the same boat as you, and one of the horses I was considering was your second choice horse. She looks very nice and I had a hard time deciding.
I eventually chose the other horse that is a Mr Jess Perry/First Down Dash on the top side and By Yawl/Pie In the Sky on the bottom side that is a year younger.
You may want to consider the cost to pay the second horse up in Future Fortunes... I believe it is about $2500... is that correct?

There are many good barrel and rope horses in our area with Miss N Cash on their papers. They have a lot of speed.

If you could just put #1s top side on #2 bottom side! They are both very nice on paper though! I would have to pick the one I liked the confo on and really clicked with.

The 2nd horse is $2500 for Future Fortunes and must be paid in by today. But they did say they would work with the new buyer if they new who the breeder was.
I thought I had the 1st horse bought and the seller told me today she has decided not to sell her after all :(
