| how often have you gotten to ride your horse?
It has been COLD and nasty at my house for weeks and my horse has got rode like twice in the last week. I have been planning on going to this jackpot this weekend for a while but I kinda feel its not fair to take my mare, but she's been getting turned out almost everyday so she's been keeping moving and she's by no means out of shape, a little short on air maybe lol. Anywho, I feel like a butt wanting to take her without riding as much as I should but she hasn't been cooped up either.

Location: Kansas | I only really ride on the weekends when I have free time, by the time I get off work and pick up my daughter from daycare...get home...it's too dark to do anything other than feed. And of course when I ride I have to wear 3 pairs of pants, chinks, 4 shirts a hoodie, a jacket LOL
My horses are turned out 24/7, they run around and play giving them good enough exercise so I don't have to worry about riding so much. |

yeah work wise I can only ride 4 maybe 5 days a week anyways but that along with 19 degrees and insane wind....yuck. She's been out almost everyday and they always run and play when they are out so I know shes getting exercise. |

Location: Blissfully happy Giants fan!!! | I ran the horse I am running on saturday so he got sunday off. It was 7pm when I left work last night and I was too mentally drained to load up and go exercise so I stayed home. I will ride tonight and run tomorrow.
Depending on what is going on, I will either bundle up and go ride or I don't. After this weekend we won't run anywhere for over a month and everyone is really just getting legged up. So if we only get out twice because of weather fine by me. Though the girl that rides with me won't tolerate that, I already know. multiple layers here I come! |

| My teenage son has been trotting her out three times a week. I ride on weekends (work, kids, pregnancy). I got some lined cozy Carhart coveralls for Christmas - now I can ride and be warm! |

| I would ride every day if I could but things come up. I get off every day at 6 so by the time i ride it has been dark for over an hour so the jeans, sweatpants, insulated overalls, hoodie, jacket and gloves come out lol so sometimes they get short workouts. I think mine has been rode about 4 times in the last week and i will ride today :) |

| I ride 5 days a week, i wouldnt consider going to a jackpot unless i knew my horse was in decent shape. To me its not worth it!

| I've been riding about 3/4 times a week. It's insanely cold here but I've been riding when it's nice and just bundling up. Might go this weekend just to get out. Mine I think are in pretty good shape for this time of year. |

| My horses are jogged everyday at least 2 miles. If they are frisky they get 4. My mare only gets rode 1x a week and it is just to set her. She does not see a barrel during the week. It is usually on wed. when I do this. However, tomorrow I am going to a race. I planned on riding her tonight but showed a horse to a family that came up from TX. She is not out of shape she is kept jogged, and vibration plate throughout the week. I see a lot of horses that are worked on barrels all week then ex. 10x at a race then an actual run! Usually they wasted the good run during a ex. SMH. My rant is over. Thank you and good night. |
