Charlotte Heggen also known by Charlotte Pemelton Owner of RIo Rico Ranch and the late great barrel sire "MR Victory Devil". Lost her battle with cancer yesterday. I am deeply heart broken. But know there is one more great angle up in heaven. RIP Charlotte.    |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | dang! I didn't know she had cancer. We bought a buckskin son of Mr Victory Devil years ago, sold him as a jumper. She was a hoot to talk with. Loved Sinn Fein when she had him. I thought she recently had hip surgery or something this spring? Rio Rico is who test collected the Stoli stud we lost. |

About 3 weeks ago she had a seizure in tractor supply and then from there they found another tumor in her brain :( |

So sorry :( she was a vibrant woman. She told us all about her granddaughter that she hauled to the barrel races...this was probably 6 yrs ago or more. She had just bought her a new saddle and was showing it to us. When we bought the colt, she took us to her pastures to look at the old mares. She still had a couple daughters of Pass Em Up and Sinn Fein that she was breeding to MVD. Saw him too, He was a neat old stud. We tried to AI to him, two diff mares and the airlines and then the vets screwed everything up and we never got a mare in foal. She did all she could on her side though. |

YEs she was, She was so proud of MVD, I still have a mare out of him and a Sinn Fein mare. Still breeding her and getting some MVD decedents. Great horses. She has a Son of MVD at stud at there place. Barrel races will not be the same with out her there. |

| Charlotte was my hero! She and my sweet mom are 1st cousins. I grew up in awe of her and always wanted to be just like her. I cannot believe she is gone - my heart is breaking. Oh but the wonderful times we all had - going to races, going to Mercedes, going to Mexico! My sweet mom gave me a filly out of Mr. Victory Devil - pretty palomino named Devil's Bit o' Honey - aka Honey. She's still with me.
Don't know where I'm going with this other than the fact that I miss Charlotte! I learned so much from her and Jack - I will always treasure our times together - sigh -
