Location: My own little world :) | I'm looking to buy a cordless clipper set for grooming my horses and wanted to ask which ones you all like. Right now I'm looking in the Schneider's catalog and there are so many I have no idea which to choose. My horses haven't really be clipped much so I was looked for the quietest ones I can find. Thanks! |

| I have a Wahl cordless. Charges up good and holds a charge. They were on special on Coolhorse for maybe $36 and I think they were normally $50. I certainly like mine. |

Location: Nebraska | I had a pair of Andis and absolutely hated them. They never held a charge very well and would die before I was finished clipping. It was pretty quiet, though. |

Location: My own little world :) | Thanks! I was planning on going with a Wahl or Oster anyways. I think I had an Andis once too and it wouldn't even cut through their manes. But I bought the cheapest one I could find so I guess thats what I get for that :) |

What I love about them is they only have one blade and you change the length from a 40 blade to a 10 blade very easily. I used to use the Golden A-5 where you snapped the blade off and on and now I feel totally spoiled by just sliding a little button over. I have found this feature really helpful during the winter time where I like to trim the nose wiskers short but then blend into their face hair. Also, I wouldn't hesitate to pay money for good clippers, I used my Golden A-5s for well over 15 years and they are still in excellent shape. It seems as though if you take care of them, they can last a long time. Good luck! |

| Well, guess what---I went and looked at my cordless clippers that I like so much and they ARE Andis. I have some plug-in clippers that I love and THEY are Wahl. |

Location: Smack Dab in the Middle | I had a pair of Kim Laub clippers for almost 10 years before they finally kicked the bucket this winter. LOVED them. Adjustable from #10 to #40, super quiet, and don't get hot. I used mine fairly hard, and bought mine because we had a pair at the vet clinic I worked for, and we used the crap out of them daily. Only problem is that they were almost $300!!!! But, that's for the clippers, two rechargable batteries, and the charging base. Plus, you can buy parts for them, like new blades and new batteries. I haven't replaced mine yet, and I really hate spending that kind of money, but it's going to be really hard to go to something else after having those... |
