Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | When you have to take a foundered pony and hand walk her from a mile up the road.....
We stopped at our neighbors house on the way home because temps are going to be ten below and who knows what the wind chill is (20-30 mph winds). He hates horses, calls them hay burners. But he rescued a POA earlier this year who had foundered, and spoils her rotten. But he has no barn for her. Just lots of hay and trees. So we stopped and asked if we could put her up in our barn for the night. Happy horse, happy neighbor, and I can sleep more soundly tonight.

Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | My horses aren't so thrilled with me though :) This is the same horse, a little POA pony, that from my back paddock to hers, looks ghostly white, and scares the heck out of my guys….and now she's living in "their" barn :) |

Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | No, not the best. I locked both my Aussies in the garage :(:(:(:( Gunner has been throwing up ALL night long. We are discovering food allergies with him and working on transitioning him to something that works. I made Cajun go out there with him so he wasn't alone. They can get in the heated box with Moses (the tortoise) but I also put a space heater at the top of the steps for them. We were up half the night with him :( If he's not over it in the next few hours he's going to the vet. This is the same dog that went through two cancer surgeries last year and I'm worried about him. Hubby just came in and said he has bloody stools, like he did last year..... |

He hasn't kept anything down since midnight and the weather is too dry and cold to have him get dehydrated on us. Now to get him to come back out of the tortoise box!! It's close in except for a blanket covering the entrance and full of hay, so they love sleeping in there. |
