  That's White "Man" to You

| I don't normally do this... but, On new years eve my brother in law and nephew Lincoln were out hiking in southern utah. While hiking somehow a huge boulder landed on Lincoln pinning him face down to the ground. My BIL heard the rocks fall, and couldn't find Lincoln so he ran to the rocks and could see only his head and feet sticking out from under the rock. He twice tried to lift the rock and was unable. He said a quick prayer in his head and on the third try he was able to lift the rock and yell at lincoln to get himself out from under it. My BIL who is a firefighter in Vegas, rushed lincoln to the hospital. He was then life flighted to a vegas intensive care unit. They did surgery that night to remove his spleen, part of his pancreas and re-attach his intestines to his stomach. He is still in the ICU while they continue to fix the little things that keep popping up, as they try to get his digestive track going again. The rock was lava rock and my BIL brother went and measured the rock. They estimated that the rock weighed somewhere between 400-600 lbs. We have seen lots of miracles already but this little guy still needs a few prayers if you could spare them.

| Prayers to him! Keep faith and continued prayers as miracles do happen! My dad was 6 when he was in a terrible accident. He was cut almost completely in two by a seat belt, his spinal cord was stretched more than 3 inches and he lost 10 foot of his small intestine. His parents were told he would never walk again, have children or ride.
He recovered beyond the doctors' wildest imaginations, was able to walk again without braces by the time he was ten, rode bareback horses through high school and in to his early twenties, had 2 children and still rides and ropes, and is now 53 years old. I will continue to pray for your nephew and brother-in-law.
Please keep us informed on his progress.
Prayers. |

It didn't make it to the news as far as I know.
In light of the boy scout leaders who tumbled a boulder they thought might harm someone & are now facing charges...it should make the news. Again...many prayers for this tragic accident. |

| I told Lincoln that he has lots of people on BHW praying for him, and he gave that a thumbs up! Also the pic of the rock the left side that fits almost flat against the other rock is where his head was.

| Here is another update on Lincoln. They removed his breathing tube yesterday afternoon. He is able to talk this morning. He is doing much better, but is having trouble keeping pedialite down. They are hoping it is not a blockage of some kind but becaue his eyes are not tracking right and that is making him dizzy.
He was finally able to tell us what happened. He said that he was standing on a rock looking for a road runner that he saw. He then felt the rock wiggle and it made him drop the stick he was carrying. So he jumped off the rock to pick up his stick and then the rock fell on him.
Shauns brother went and officially weighted the rock, it weighed 730 lbs. Lincoln told him mom that Grandpa Bob was there and helped Shaun lift the rock and then pull Lincoln out. Grandpa Bob passed away in August of 2011. So grateful that Grandpa is watching over this little boy and grateful for all your prayers. |

| Just another quick update: Lincoln was released from intensive care. He is doing much better. He is grateful for the cards and packages he received. Thank you all, for everything especially the prayers! They were having trouble when trying to get his body to accept food. They were trying 1 tablespoon of water at a time and he hasn't been able to keep it down yet, but they believe that is still because of the swelling inside. The hospital has been great. The other day they had some people dressed up like Spider Man, Bat Man and The Hulk. These guys were visiting all the kids and Lincoln loved it.

| CYA Ranch - 2014-01-21 4:49 PM I love happy endings. Me too. He still has a little ways to go. Still has some tubes in him and he cant move much. But sick at home is much better than sick in a hospital after 22 days. The hospital said that it was in the top 3 worst traumas ever in the las vegas hospital. They are a level 1 trauma center, so thats saying alot. Thank goodness for modern medical advances.
