They are very well built saddles. My daughter has a HR barrel saddle and I have a HR roping saddle and know several people who own them. We are very satisifed with both.
The only complaint I have ever heard is that their heavier than other
saddles. But thats due to to being better built and made with thicker
leather than cheap saddles.
Call them and they will custom build a saddle to your specifications.
It really doesn't cost more than buying one already made if you negotiate on price and you can get one like you want.
Good people to deal with.

I have been looking at saddles for about a year now and I am having a hard time deciding. (too many makers)
It has come down to the maker with twisted stirrups which is HR ($800 to 1500), Circle Y($2000) and Crown C($4000), then the cost variance is becomes a factor.
I have ridden circle Y's for 30 years and I have never had a problem.
A professional has fitted my horse to crown C 8.5 gullet... but they are expensive.
I have talked to a couple custom saddle makers and they say 90% of the horses fit a 6 3/4 inch gullet.
My horse is not a super wide horse but he is big (15.2) and stout. He was a racing quarter horse.
One saddle maker indicated that if you get a gullet too big it will make the shoulders shore.
Hence the reason I am sitting on the fence about a saddle.....
