Psalm 7:1 O Lord my God, in You I put my trust; Save me from all those who persecute me; and deliver me.
In Psalm 7:1-8 shows us what to do when we are facing "roaring" troubles.
David had a n unwavering confidence in God while experiencing trouble. Remember the days when he was fleeing King Saul? Some believe he was an evil man who slandered and harmed David. David compared his deep hurt to being torn to pieces by a lion in verse 2.
Is there application for us? Our first focus must be on the Lord. He is our defender and we must trust His judicial sovereignty. We can have confidence that God will do His job. As we focus on God, we must also look within. The roaring cry may be from pain that is self inflicted. It is important that we are honest with our Lord and with ourselves. We may need to be delivered from ourselves and repentance is the needed response. He is able to save us from the roaring lions, from our self inflicted wounds, and from our personal sin. HE IS ALWAYS FAITHFUL!
