Location: GODS country | What age do you start your futurity horses and when do you put them on the pattern? Curious as to how every gets them ready for their 4 year old year. |

| It all depends on the horse and what it is ready for, I have a wicked little coming 4yr old that was on the track and is broke really nice, he is picking up the pattern really fast, my other 4 yr old just doesnt have the mind for it yet. My 3yr old is already running a pattern but she is turned out now because I dont enter furnitures until they are 5. My 3 yr old just picked it up super fast, she is a grand baby of Frenchmans Fab and has a wicked mind on her, i havent pushed her at all and she just came into her own. |

That is what I love about the FG lines, they seem to pick everything up quickly with a good head on their shoulders. Would love to see videos and pictures!

Location: TX | I start mine that I plan on futuriting as long yearlings. By the middle of their two yr old year I will start then trotting them around the pattern and just keep going up from there. Nothing strenuous but by the time they're three nothing bothers them as far as hauling. A lot of people are against that early but to each is own. We run horses at the track as 2 yr olds so I'm used to it. All of ours stay sound and sane. |
