Location: ohio-in my own little world with pretty ponies :) | I've posted about trying to get the papers on my little paint mare. I've contacted APHA and gave them the name I was told was her registered name and they don't have a horse registered by that name. Can she be registered anywhere else? |

Location: ohio-in my own little world with pretty ponies :) | I have no other info. She came from an auction. All I have is her coggins with her registered name on it(or the what they said was her registered name) The guy that sold her was a horse trader. |

Try a "spin" on the name, like Eyesa or Eyeza, something like that maybe?

| So there is a cashs skipa star that was in kentucky but she is registered as an ovaro and your mare is a tobiano in my mind. That name would be very close if they were hollaring to the vet from the back of a trailer.

All breed is not a reliable source. Anyone can enter that info. Some people think a 14 hand horse stands 15.3 lol So I wouldnt put much faith in that info. The pedigree may be correct, but not much else. |

Ugh. I guess I'll try ;) Hahahah. At the auction we were told she was papered and gave her registered name and we bought her....after sale go to get paper work and there are no papers just a name and saying the papers were lost. Of course! |

I wouldn't trust the pedigree on all breed pedigree either. Someone entered the pedigree of a mare I owned from birth, raised her, bred her, showed her, and she died with me...but someone else put in her pedigree with a completely wrong sire line...and it transmitted to her offspring's pedigree. Pedigrees can be input/altered by anyone.... |

Location: Texas | I couldn't find him in a Google search (I didn't try all that hard), but since you have his address, why don't you send him a letter. Include a paper that he can just fill out the info you need and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Be sure to include your phone number as well in case he'd rather call.
Or call information and see if there is a number listed for him.
Can't hurt to try that route, as well.
Other than that, your only recourse is to return her since she is not papered as stated in the sale. This counts as fraud and misrepresentation. She probably wouldn't have sold as high if she went through as grade. |

Just call and tell him the situation. You bought a paint mare that you've traced ownership back to him. Tell him you are trying to track down her papers and are hoping he can help.
The worst thing that can happen is she wasn't his mare. But if he can give you her registered name or know where her papers are, you will have a more valuable horse in your barn. |

Location: Texas!!! | To me the one listed on the mares offspring says sorrel overo and registered as AQHA. I would take that as a sorrel with some white, like a big blaze that extended over to get the overo on there. If she had alot of white it would not be AQHA registry and your mare is definately not sorrel overo. |
