| Thought it would be fun to see the "transformation" of your horses when they are young, around yearling age then when they are adults or "grownup"! Might be fun, ya? I need to get some good pics. But in the meantime thought this would be a fun post, it's always fun to see how much they change over the years.  |

| Well it's not really from younger to older, just a couple years. But the before and after's of my boy from when I got him to now make me pretty proud of where we've come from...

Location: Deep South | And another now 4yo that I just bought at the end of October. She's the biggest "transformation" of probably any horse I've ever owned in such a short period of time. She wasn't even halter broke when I got her, wormy, teeth were in terrible shape and too thin. But just the sweetest little soul and has made a complete 180.

Location: Utah | My boy is a 2 year old (not really, he's 2 May 1st.) But I do have now pictures compared to when I first brought him home as my little baby.
He was 4 or 5 months old in this picture.
And at 16 months old starting his light ground work for a few weeks.
And his current "2" year old picture. (technically 20 months old.)

She is a grade quarter horse that I traded a pair of used zebra striped sports medicine boots for. She was a real pain in the hindparts when we got her but is turning out to be a sweet little mare. She is going to be 4 this June.

Location: Riding Crackhead. | Here's my kids growing up with my favorite mare Baby. We got her when she was 6 months old and as you can tell the kids started climbing on her from the get go. I was a horrible mother and let them ride her by themselves when she was a 2 yr old which is the picture with both kids on her and my son has no shirt on. She went on to be a pretty awesome barrel & breakaway horse that would run her guts out for the kids and I. I firmly believe it was because of how they were brought up together.

Location: Over by those oil wells, TX | I guess it's because I've been up so many hours but this thread touches my heart. Especially the rescue photos. I know there are a couple hardhearted people here who don't believe in rescues...I hope they see this thread and are ashamed of themselves. Some of these photos show amazing babies that HAD to be beautiful as older horses, others show what beautiful hearted people can accomplish. |
