Saw this posted from a Alabama director...........
NBHA 2014 rule changes:
1) District points will be awarded on the 5D format. 2nd division is ½ second off the fastest time. 3rd division is 1 second off the fastest time. 4th division is 1 ½ second off the fastest time and 5th division is 2 seconds off the fastest time. Of course you may continue to pay off in 3D or 4D format as you are currently doing. 2) We are reinstating the one year membership requirement in order to use a transferred wildcard. This applies to anyone using a wildcard they did not themselves win. 3) There will be a Super Senior class at the World Show open to all NBHA members age 60 or over on the day of the show. No district qualification or wildcards are required to panicipate in this class. 4) Again this year we will have a speed barrel (arena race) event at the 2014 world Show. Plan on entering. 5) At NBHA World, National and state shows, which use the two-go and finals format, riders may qualify any number of horses per division to the finals. Previously riders were limited to two horses per division.
Yep, I got my director newsletter in the mail this week also. What really confused me was awarding points in 5D but paying out in 3 or 4D...so I emailed the NBHA main office and districts will be allowed to pay in 5D as well. Will be up to either the individual district or state as a whole. I know the NC NBHA directors are having a meeting to vote on what we will do as a state, so there is no confusion.
So if you won a wildcard previously under a maiden name, then got a membership since you've been married do you still have to wait a year to use the wildcard?
Can you run at more than 1 supershow, are you limited to just 1 super show per year? I can't find the rule on this. Does anyone know?
I think there used to be a rule about National/Regional shows. You could only run in one. But I'm pretty sure that's not the case anymore. As I've seen the same people compete at almost every super show there is.

I would think by your social security number they would know you are one and the same person.
