The only movie I've seen that was nominated for anything was Frozen.   Loved it tho! I adore the song "Let It Go". The original version from the movie is WAY better than the Demi Levato version being played on the radio. My kids think they are forcing me to play the soundtrack over and over in the car...

I know, poor Leo.... killer actor that deserves an Oscar.

I saw Gravity and really wasn't overly thrilled about it.

I saw American Hustle and it was great.  Highly recommend it.  My 15 year old liked it too but I had a friend that has a 17 year old that hated it.  So who knows, we really liked it and the acting was great.

I'm curious about the movie Dallas Buyers Club with Matthew M.  Never heard of it but have always been a fan of his, thought he was pretty much underrated.

He had to lose a ton of weight for the part.....when I didn't know he was doing this movie about AIDS I freaked when I saw him, then heard the rest of the story.

I agree he is underated. He has such a broad range.  From fun movies like Sahara, to We are Marshall and The Linclon Laywer.

He got my attention when he did the movie Contact with Jodi Foster.

I really liked Captain Phillips.  Glad that guy got nominated for best supporting actor.  I hoped he would.

Our daughter is 43 and went to see it with her neighbors that are in there 60's so it was liking going with us. She said she wanted to crawl under the seat as she was so embarrassed. Thought it was a disgusting movie.

Ugly times back in the 80's.  HIV/AIDS was so feared.

I google any movie I am going to go pay to see.  Sorry she got disgusted.  When it's out I will rent it.

Ron Woodroof had a story to tell, sounds like all things they do out there they might have gone to Hollywood on it.  Most of the time we are smart enough to get what happened and could have done without the visual.

I agree with you both.  I like Clint Eastwoods style...you don't have to actually show it for us to get it.  I like to use a little of my own imagination sometimes.  Insinuation can go a long way.

I haven't seen any of them. Heard good things about hustle and wolves. Idk if I can go see lone survivor, even at home. I'd rather watch them at home just so I can pause when I need to run to the restroom or get more snacks.

She said the story line was very interesting but the sex scenes were too much for her.

There is a big difference in watching at home versus a movie theatre...LOL
