Location: In Ky following Barrel Races & Walker hounds. | Dustin finally got a new job in August working at ADM(grain elevator) after working at a job he hated for 2years. The job came with WAY better benefits, better pay, closer to home, safer place to work, ect. Plus he likes it way, way better. He worked his butt off 7 days a week this harvest season, if he got the oppurtunity to take the weekend off, he would only take one day and be right back in there. He got to work at 5AM several days not getting home until 8pm or later some nights. He got a lot of responsibility placed on him very quick because they realized he would WORK and they could rely on him. He even had a period of time where they switched him to night shift loading barges all night and he was left in charge of people who have worked there for 2-3years.
He sent me a message earlier and said the Regional Manager made a trip to the location he is working today and ask to speak to him, ofcourse he is thinking the worst lol, but he wanted to tell him he got a raise for the extra effort and for going the extra mile whenever he could since he got there, and to be expecting another one as soon as the evaluations come out at the end of the month.
Needless to say my husband is on CLOUD NINE  . I am SO proud of him, he really works his butt off. Im glad he finally works somewhere that appreciates his hard work and dedication to his job.

Location: NC | Thats great!! Love to see hard work pay off!! So many companies have gotten away from merit based raises and I think it deters good work ethic. Yay for your hubby and his company!

Location: In Ky following Barrel Races & Walker hounds. | Thank you both! It feels SO good to know hes finally getting the appreciation for putting in the extra effort. He's not one of those "do enough to get by" people. If he can do more, or do a job better, he is going to. Its just his nature.
I feel very blessed to be married to him... So many people our age(22) have no goals, or drive. He is definitely the opposite of that. |

| That is great for him and you. I love it when you get recognized for the effort instead of just taken advantage of. My husband doesn't enjoy his job much, job isn't bad but bosses are. He will be in Kentucky next week !

That's great! ADM is a good company.
Thank you! They really seem to care about their employees from what I have heard. He had to go through almost 2 full weeks of safety training before he could actually start working there. Im so glad he is happy there. |
