I ham having a terrible time finding a saddle for my 14.1hh, short backed, broad shouldered, flat backed mare that has very little wither. She has broad shoulders and a back so flat that water pools on it. She's literally built like a tank. I'm having a terrible time finding a saddle that won't roll on her. Any suggestions?

I have a similar built horse, I had to custom order a 11 inch Martin with extra flat bars, and I am very glad I did, the saddle doesn't roll on her I don't have to have my cinch so tight

I agree with Cheryl. I'd be looking at a martin. For what it's worth, I posted a picture of a horse's back that was fit for a 10.5" and was built very much how you describe on this thread. You have to scroll down for my reply and it's the last picture in the series I posted. Water pooled in her back too. Hopefully this will help.

If you want to pm me I can give you my email so I can resize them. I'm curious as what others think for you, sounds a bit like my horse and I can't find anything that fits. :)
