Who wants to play? The bit is handmade and marked B.B. on the port. It has short butterfly shanks and a low square port. Who knows anything about the bit or bitmaker?

Liana D - 2014-01-25 8:14 PM Are you sure that's not a B?E. Eichorn? That's his style....made in Ok right up the road from me.
That is exactly what I was thinking. My friend has one made by him and it is awesome. The Allen Ranch in Bixby, OK, had some of his bits for sale the last time I was there.

I had no idea they were expensive. I've seen a couple go for around $300 on Cowboy Auctions on FB. I used to see B.E. around the horse sales. He was a real nice guy.

It's not mine, and it's not for sale. (sad face) I may see if Don Wasson can make one for me. The bit maker is deceased so no telling what it's worth.
Don Wasson had surgery in Plano TX a few weeks ago on his back. He will be in PT for 3 to 6 months. Please keep him in your prayers. He is probably going crazy without anything to do. Several of us plan to drive upo and visit him one weekend.
