Mine needs some of the nylon straps replaced where they are actually tearing. It is not an old or heavily used saddle, either. For some reason, the dees that the girth off billet and cinch strap attach to were installed at an angle. So the pressure from a tight cinch has caused them to tear. I have a saddle guy I trust, but he's never worked on a treeless before. I'm worried he's going to cut the thing open and not be able to do anything with it. Does anyone have any experience or even pictures of one they have worked on? I am thinking about having him redo the stirrups while he's got it. I hate the bulky nylon and buckles. Has anyone swapped that out? Or do I need to try to sell it and buy what I really want- a new Tammy with the biothane? Lol
Thanks for any input!!

Here's a pic of the strap that needs replacing. It's the same on the other side also.

We happened to be going thur Indiana a few years ago and stopped at an Amish leather shop. The guy said he could fix it in two days, so we laid over. True to his word he not only fixed that but made other repairs. It was the same problem as yours and is better than it was when new.

Call Bob Marshall and have them repair it, I have sent a few back to them to do repairs on.

Best bet is to send it back to Bob Marshall.  All of our Bob Marshall saddles we've had for years and have never had to have one repaired but I know several people that have sent them back to them when repairs were needed, I just think that's your best bet.  If the saddle isn't very old, maybe they won't charge you as much.

How long does it typically take Bob Marshall to repair one? Rodeo season is starting up so I don't have 6 weeks to be without a saddle. And I know I've read on here before where people had the stirrup "leathers" replaced by something better. I hate the buckles on there, they are bulky and hard to adjust. On closer inspection, my BF thinks the buckles are what is rubbing the nylon.
I have a picture of the tear, but my phone won't load it for some reason. I'll try later from a computer.

I have indeed! The actual same thing!

My circle y bob marshall needed a seat repaired (lengthways down the seam for 1") and also my original bob marshall had the angle issue for the girth. I took it to Van's Leatherworks in Byhalia, MS and he hand sewed additional nylon to brace the original nylon and had it done in 2 weeks.

Everything is now back safe to use!
BTW I tried contacting Bob Marshall. 3 Unreplied to emails. I also had a deadline I needed my saddle by. I'm not very impressed with their IT department.
