What can you tell me about Stifles? I have a 3 yr old who has been out on pasture and yesterday I noticed she has a little swelling on her stifle. She doesn't act sore or short step. Today the swelling has gone down a bit. Would you watch her a couple more days or take her in asap and have it x-rayed. I've google stifle injuries and problems and now I'm worried.

I've never had a horse with a stifle problem or injury before.

I had a friend with a huge 3 yr old colt,
Swollen stifle, not lame, but wasn't getting
His butt in the ground like he used to,
X-rayed him and found a small OCD lesion.
Irap injection was able to heal it with out surgery.
