Location: wherever my gypsy soul lands | Does anyone live in the area that can tell me what the land is like, what the housing situation is like? How about jobs? Barrel races, jackpots, rodeos? |

Location: EDGE OF INSANITY | Housing and land is HIGH unless you get out of athens/clarke county. There are lots of shows though-nbha, abra, saddle clubs, lots of rodeos within a 2-5 hour drive, etc-something pretty much every weekend . Jobs-ehhh, uga is the biggest employer so if you're looking for a job, thats where i would start |

Location: wherever my gypsy soul lands | I'd be looking to live about 25-35 minutes out of town. I'm trying to get into UGA but dont want to live on campus and board my horses so I'm looking to buy something. |

Location: EDGE OF INSANITY | I work in Athens but live about 30 minutes out. Madison, Oglethorpe and Jackson county is where I would look. We bought a foreclosure and got a really good deal. What's your major (if u don't mind me asking) |

Location: wherever my gypsy soul lands | I'd like to do the animal science major with an emphasis in equine studies as a pre-vet degree. |

Location: EDGE OF INSANITY | Nice, i graduated from UGA through animal science. I work for the vet school now, so i sometimes see students when they have a "hands on" lab-i am at the vet school farm so i (prefer) don't go on campus much |

Location: wherever my gypsy soul lands | How hard was it to get into UGA. I wanted to go to university of Florida but they are accepting NO lower level undergrads at all. |

Location: EDGE OF INSANITY | i transferred in after 2 years - i went to ABAC (IF you can't get into uga i would def look into abac, they have a great 2 year animal science program) but i had a 4.0 so i had no problem getting in. I think its extremely difficult to get in as a freshman |

Did you take the ACT? I never took the SATs either but took the ACT and had no trouble getting accepted and getting scholarships everywhere I applied. |

Location: wherever my gypsy soul lands | I never took the ACTs either. I took a placement test when I started college but that's it. |
