| Just wanted to give a FYI the grasshopper bit can be bought brand new from pro choice for $49.99! I was high bidder on one Facebook page bit auction and retracted my bid because I was not paying $170 for a bit I can buy new for a quarter of the price! |

Were you banned, as per the rules? Why would you bid on something that you had no intention in following thru with? |

| It's funny on the Facebook auction site "bit auction" people must have noticed that I bid on the grasshoppers so when they wanted to sell theirs they would message me and I would buy them with out them ever posting on the auction site:) I have bought a lot of bits from people wanting to sell without the hassle- don't think I will miss the bit auction on Facebook:) |

| What? Yes- I contacted the bit auction admin and told them I wanted to retract my bid for $170 when I can buy the bit new for $49.99 and I told them that I did not want to be kicked off but that is the rule and I'm ok with that! It does suck for the gal selling the bit and for the person buying it for that kind of money - I think the bit auction admin should look at what they could do to help both buyer and seller! |

No auction looks at finding the buyer a better deal. Highest bidder wins, and buyer beware, I thought those were the rules when participating in any auction |

Yes :)
That's the old, discontinued version. Apparently the new version is now silver instead of brown and has a new name. It's the Derby bit instead of the Grasshopper. |

I wonder if Charmayne takes her bit styles and designs with her to Reinsman or does Pro Choice get to keep them? |

I have no idea. I would guess the designs are the property of the manufacturer. |

Possibly but in my mind she was the designer? So she would take it with her? Weird. |

| Just from the looks of it I like the old ones better than the new ones. I am not sure what all the hype is about these, they are nice I guess but not worth $150+. I liked mine but when I saw how much they were going for I sold it, for alot more than I bought it for. Then I kinda missed it so I bought a Tom Balding flex n roll for a little less than I sold my Prof Choice grass hopper for. I would much rather have a Balding anyway, but I like bits that are copper and or sweet iron. But yes I am also interested why you want so many of these? Not that it is any of my business LOL. |

If you have 10 or so of them how could you use them enough to know if they break or not? LOL
Years ago the Sharon Camarillo bits with the cooper mouthpieces were breaking. Someone told me theirs never broke. Find out it was just sitting in their trailer and never used. LOL |

| I buy and sell better bits always have always will:) And we use them! We have a working cattle ranch and my whole family rides and rodeo's! My Husband and Dad are trippers and love the Grasshopper bit for their tripping horses! I would rather send them a bit that costs under $200 than the $400 and $500 bit like the Baldings, Tietjens, and Flaharty that they like to ride- but get a couple of those stole and it hurts! |

My Balding flex and roll was under $200 ( I bought it new from Balding not fancy stuff just plain, with dots I think it is $220, and no comparison in quality to the GH) just a FYI. Like I said I bought it for less than I sold my Prof choice for.
If you are buying and selling them then that makes since why you would have so many. That is funny the trippers like them, I used mine on my old head horse, that is the main reason I sold it since I don't rope on her any more I hadn't been using it much. |

I wondered about that too. I noticed the new ones have a 6.75" shank instead of 7", maybe that's how they're getting around any copyright issues? I dunno, just a thought I had. |

I was thinking the same thing. That was a terrible thing to do and then come on here and brag about it. I have a bit similar to what they are now selling and also a Grasshopper. They are night and day different in weight. So very similar and yet, not the same. |
