So with me being away at school my sister is keeping my horses going during the week. Over Christmas break I got my filly going well enough to where I felt my sister could ride her during the week for me. No barrels, just dry work. So on the weekends when I come home, I will tune on her a little on the barrels.

Yeah whatever green grass we have right now is about to get killed with this freeze coming this week. I am not a fan of wintery weather!!
My sister has been too scared to take her through the barrels in fear she would mess something up. I told her just ride her and we'll worry about that later. Poor girl, after I rode my horses she said "well have I screwed them up yet?" I said actually, they feel like I just stepped off- you did good. She's never ridden a really green horse before so now she's learning how it feels. And she's now got her eye on the horse I compete on… I told her paws off!

It's looking good! You will be up and running again in no time. If it makes you feel better, my daughter has been riding my 3 year old. Mainly because it's been cold out, I am into Self Preservation so I figured she can deal with the stupid colt antics since she bounces and I splat. She is starting to eyeball the 3 year old as her own. I said paws off too, lol!

ndiehl - 2014-01-26 7:09 PM She looks good you will have her going in no time! I'm jealous I see green grass there. Want a couple feet of snow I'll share!!
It snowed here on Friday. The first time in as long as I can remember and as much as I can rememvber. It was still on the ground on Saturday, which is also amazing. Yesterday, I was in a T-shirt, no snow and the clover was on the ground, like nothing ever happened lol. Very strange.
