| A maker named Jeff Smith, I think... Good saddles, I had one but had to sell it since it did not fit my horse. Darn.

Yeah, that is no bueno...We ordered ours in person, face to face with him at the NFR. Not one of his employees, HIM. Saddle didn't show up when promised, and he screwed up when I had him on the phone once and said that he "had to go get it when they were done"--Wait a dang minute...aren't you supposed to be MAKING IT? Turns out, Tesky's made it, he put his stamp on it.
Finally got it, 5 weeks later than promised, and it was the wrong saddle, and they didn't send the tripping collar we paid for. They told me I had to pay to ship it back--which I didn't, I sent it COD, then took another 6 weeks to send the right saddle and collar. I finally asked for my nearly $3k back, and he got really ugly. I got uglier. I threatened to turn him into the BBB, and told him I was going to file a report with the local law enforcement... POOF, saddle shows up. We like it, so I dropped it, but otherwise, I might of had to show my crazy just a little. | |
