If you are just making calls, texts, emails, Facebook, then the s3 will work just fine. It's what I have. I thought about upgrading to the s4 when it came out but then I got a note 2 for work and decided to wait for the note 3 to upgrade my personal phone. I just like the much bigger screen and having the stylus. |

| Yall correct me if I'm wrong.....the only thing the s4 has that the s3 doesn't is that it has a 13 mp camera v/s a 8 mp camera. Can the s4 do stuff the s3 can't? |

Location: Madill Ok | I have an S3 and its great, love the big screen and the camera quality is really good. Only bad part is its too big to put in your pocket, cant ride with it etc. Also I have had several problems with it where it just stops functioning and I have to take out the battery and reinsert it to get the phone to work. frustrating. |

I have the S3 too and I do love it but its huge and hard to carry. I had a 2 page thread on here a while back about how to carry large cell phones....finally ended up getting a running belt(fanny pack type thing) and it works pretty good but its still big and bulky for riding. I love having the bigger phone because I can see it better BUT its a PITA to carry! |

Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | I never thought the s3 was that big.....it's bigger then an iphone. But I guess I'm the only one that prefers bigger screens. Hence the reason I want the note 3. But then I don't keep my phone on me so it doesn't matter if it fits in my pocket |

Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | I think everybody wants something a little different. I remember when the big deal was to go smaller and smaller. Everybody wants a usuable device that fits in their pocket, which is great. But I hate being tethered to a device. I couldnt' even tell you what the ring tones were on either phone as they are always on silent or vibrate.
I loved the s3 and thought I wanted the s4 until I got the note2 for work. I've had both for about 8 months and I prefer the note for almost everything. But I type up a lot of emails and have to get online for work, so a bigger screen is way better for me. |

There is an "easy mode" on the S4. Slide your finger from the top of the screen down and click the gear icon at the upper right hand corner of the screen. Click "my device" and then click "home screen mode". Select "Easy mode" and hit the "apply" button on the bottom of the screen. Wala |

Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | If I was going out right now to buy one, and only had to pick between the two, I would probaby go with the 4 just because it's a newer model. But if it matters, the operating system on my 3 is the same as the 4 and the note. They all upgrade the same :)
I wonder if the frostbite damage on my fingers plays a role since the note has the stylus when I can't get the touchscreen to work with my fingers |
