If I am running home into a closed gate my horse quits bad, does anyone have any suggestions? She is a seasoned horse and she runs out fine if its an alley.

Maybe a whip to pop her right when she tries to quit you?  Also looking far past the timer helps with my horse.

Could be a bleeder, or not in shape

or hocks could be sore and she's dreading the screeching stop. Maybe give some banamine or bute and use a whip. Might check her hocks if you really think they're sore.

Sorry guess I should have given better specifics. She is a mild bleeder, that being said she gets ran on lasix plus other stuff and she is not bleeding when this happens. Also during the summer when I am running a lot she gets monthly lameness exams, it is not a physical thing. I try whipping her but it is a toss up if I whip she ducks off soon, if I stay two handed and kick her she runs strait longer but she doesn't run as hard.
