I work with two young kids who I am wanting to find them a good reputable person to send them to for horsemanship! The kids are 5 and 8! The 8 year old is a very accomplished barrel racer, and rides great but she is getting the stage where I feel she needs to focus a lot on her horsemanship, and I feel it will be great to have her sister start now at 5 (she also at 5 is doing quite well barrel racing)! I am working with them best I can on their horsemanship, but I tend to know what to feel but at times struggle explaining to them how to get a "feel" if that makes any sense! I am willing to travel a little ways (I am located in central Texas)! Trying to get a list together now so I can do some research and get something lined up for this summer! Thanks!

Thanks!! I would looooove to get them into someone who has heavy knowledge in the dressage/equestrian world!! The people I learned from were big into it....and in my opinion the equestrian world is in a league of their own with the feel of a horse!

Are you wanting them to take lessons on their horse or someone elses? What area of central Texas? I would get them on a show horse, reining horse, cutting horse, etc. for at least a few lessons just to show them how soft and light that type of horse is.

I would like to have both if possible! I let them ride my horses who are very broke, but other disciplines would be good for them! I do think they need to do horsemanship work with their own horses as well!!
