I notice you are in canada. The cost to carry a cow in your area would be astronomical compared to where I live. You can count on a cow needed 25 pounds of hay per day "minimum". That is with no snow cover, and some browse. I wouldn't be surprised to find out it cost $500 to carry a cow through the winter in your area.
Yes, I know how much it costs me to winter them and it is quite a bit as winter is long and harsh. I'm just wondering what people charge to do it for someone else. As in, if I hauled my cattle to their place and they took care of them for the winter for me.
