Hi. I didn't know if anybody has any opinions on the new biofit pad that just came out for 2014. I think you can move the shims around but when I look closely at it I just don't see how. Opinions?

Ok I re-read the description. LOL I thought you could change around the shims but no.. you move the pad up or back for correct fit. I really do not see how different this is vs the original. I have the old style and its pretty good.

Love the advertising. CE knows the current fad of "shimming" is hot. I don't like the new shape. I think the old one was better for filling the spot behind the withers.

I took the "moveable" part of the description to mean that it self adjusts to what your horse needs when your horse is moving. This is what I decided it must mean when I looked at the picture because it doesn't look like you can move the shim around for different placement. Diamond Wool Pad Company does, however, have a shimmed pad that comes with 3 different, removable shims on the pad. The DW pad is not a very pretty pad but it is easy to work with if you need all 3 shims or just 1 or 2 of them. They offer several different pads that come with shims.

I don't like it. Doesn't look like it would work as good as the original. I use the biofit on all 3 horses and in the market for a few new pads this season. Shuckydarn.
